It is no coincidence that the number of youth undergoing gender reassignment surgeries and treatments has increased many-fold, the former Democratic politician said.
The drastic rise in the number of transgender youth is the direct consequence of the far left’s radical agenda being pushed on children, Tulsi Gabbard pointed out a few days ago. The US politician, who formally announced her departure from the Democratic Party last month, cited a recently published research paper in the Journal of the American Medical Association Pediatrics, showing a 389-percent increase in children receiving mastectomies from 2016 through 2019.
Ms Gabbard also drew attention to statistics in another study published by the UCLA School of Law’s Williams Institute, which established that the number of transgender youth in America has doubled over the past five years. “When you look at these statistics, you gotta realize that this is not an accident. This didn’t just happen. This is very intentional,”
she said, identifying the staggering statistics as the consequence of the far left’s radical agenda. “They’re rejecting the existence of objective reality by rejecting this most fundamental truth of the differences between a biological male and female,”
the former Democratic politician said, noting that those in power, including those in the medical establishment, still “continue to push” procedures and so-called “treatments,” such as puberty blockers.
As V4NA also reported earlier, Joe Biden clarified his position by issuing a statement. He wrote that child welfare agencies should expand access to gender-affirming care for transgender children. The president added that “transgender children bring fulfillment to their parents, joy to their friends, and are made in the image of God. Affirming a transgender child’s identity is one of the best things a parent, teacher, or doctor can do …”
The latest research has unveiled that these procedures have many consequences, some of which can ruin the children’s lives. The American College of Pediatricians, which describes itself as a “national organisation of pediatricians and other healthcare professionals” warns that puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones often prescribed to youngsters suffering from gender dysphoria may have serious impact both in the long and in the short run.
The organisation identified the side effects of puberty blockers as “osteoporosis, mood disorders, seizures, cognitive impairment and when combined with cross-sex hormones, sterility.” Additionally, the medical organisation states that cross-sex hormones come with “an increased risk of heart attacks, stroke, diabetes, blood clots and cancers across their lifespan.”
