This Year, The March For Life Will Be Held In Two Slovenian Cities

“These littlest ones need to be protected,” believes the March for Life civil initiative (Pohod za življenje), which is expanding this year. The March for Life will be organised in two cities this year, namely – in Ljubljana and in Maribor. The first march will take place in Maribor on the 13th of May, starting at 9.30 a.m. in Grajski Square.

The civil initiative has announced that this year, the March for Life will take place in two cities. Namely, in addition to the March for Life in Ljubljana (which will happen on the first weekend of October), the March for Life will also take place in Maribor for the first time, on the 13th of May 2023, starting at 9.30 a.m. on Grajski Square.

Following the excitement and enthusiasm of last year’s March for Life in Ljubljana, where 5,000 people gathered in a wonderful atmosphere, the civil initiative is proud of the wave of joy for life and compassion for mothers in need that is spreading across Slovenia. In the coming years, they would like to see Marches for Life happen in all major cities in Slovenia.

“Every child, regardless of their size, age or other personal circumstances, has the right to life under our Constitution. An unborn baby has a beating heart at three weeks and fingers and toes at ten weeks; unborn babies suck on their fingers in their mothers’ tummies; they yawn, dream, laugh and feel pain… Many mothers and fathers already find out the sex of their baby during pregnancy, give their unborn baby a name and talk to him or her,” they believe.

“These littlest ones among us need to be protected,” they say, and therefore invite everyone that has the same opinion and belief, regardless of religion, age or political affiliation, to take part in the March for Life, which will be held in Maribor, on the 13th of May 2023.
