Is Jamnik Trying to Take Over Delavska hranilnica With the Help of Trade Unions?

The editorial office of Nova24TV has received information about a proposal being drafted for cooperation between the trade unions and the company Modra Zavarovalnica, d. d., with which the company would ensure the power to make decisions in connection with ownership shares in the company Delavska hranilnica, d. d. (The Workers’ Savings Bank). In short, this is about spreading the influence of Borut Jamnik, President of the Association of Supervisors of Slovenia and head of the parastate Modra zavarovalnica company.

Over the years, the President of the Association of Supervisors of Slovenia and President of the Management Board of the Modra zavarovalnica company, Borut Jamnik, has secured the status of one of the most important economic decision-makers in Slovenia through his political connections. With the help of his positions in the Association of Supervisors of Slovenia and in Modra zavarovalnica, he successfully recruited staff in most state-owned companies. And now, it is Delavska hranilnica’s turn.

At Nova24TV, we have obtained a document that shows that a proposal for cooperation between the trade unions and Modra zavarovalnica is being prepared, which would make it easier to control the conducting of business in Delavska hranilnica. According to the information we have received, the establishment of special purpose vehicles and a recapitalisation with a contribution are also being prepared. The establishment of special purpose vehicles is supposedly necessary for a “joint performance in the management of ownership shares in Delavska hranilnica, d.d.”

It is not difficult to understand that Jamnik wants control over Delavska hranilnica; it is harder to understand why the unions are willing to help him. It seems that the unions are not interested in what is best for their members, who are forced to finance them every month, but rather, they are more interested in the interests of the deep state.
