The Slovakian government approved the establishment of a new NATO battlegroup in Slovakia that is expected to feature 2,100 soldiers, including up to 100 Slovenian soldiers.
The proposal has to be approved by the Slovak parliament, the Slovak news agency TASR reported. No decision on this has yet been made by the Slovenian government. The Defence Ministry told the STA that the procedure was yet to be completed, and the final decision on the number of soldiers was not yet made.
