Prime Minister Janez Janša met with the delegation of US senators who are on an official visit to Slovenia.
The delegation is headed by the vice-chair of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Richard Shelby from the State of Alabama. The other members of the delegation are Senators Mike Crapo from Idaho, John Cornyn from Texas, Deb Fischer from Nebraska, John Kennedy from Louisiana, and Roger Marshall from Kansas.
Prime Minister Janez Janša and the senators focused their discussion on topical issues in the relations between Slovenia and the USA, as well as in the international community. They also spoke about the current situation in Afghanistan. In their talks, they also addressed the priorities of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU, the situation regarding COVID-19 and the economic recovery, as well as the topic of the EU’s enlargement to the Western Balkans.
