Almost 55 Percent Of All Pensioners Live Under The Poverty Risk Threshold

In April, 345,884 pensioners, or 54.6 percent of all pensioners, received a pension of less than 800 euros. The poverty risk threshold is set at 827 euros. At the same time, the average net pension in the country is 820 euros, which means that it is also below the poverty risk threshold.

The average net retirement pension is 820 euros, the disability pension is 634 euros, the survivor’s or widow’s pension is 502 euros, and the partial widow’s pension is 82 euros.

In April, there were 632,969 pensioners in Slovenia, and 71,195 people received a partial widow’s pension. The highest pension paid amounted to 3,687 euros. The limit for the partial widow’s pension was 124 euros, which is the maximum amount that individuals can receive if they claim a portion of the pension from a deceased partner.

The farmer’s pension was 316 euros, and the farmer fighter’s pension was 633 euros, which means that the pension is doubled.

– There were five retired farmer fighters last year.
– The pension is paid to 4798 members of the National Liberation Movement, national heroes and holders of the Partisan Memorial.
– There were 377 recipients of pensions for forced mobilisation.
– 193 were prisoners in concentration camps.
– 40 were imprisoned after the 15^th of May 1945.
– Furthermore, 7144 internees, refugees and labour deportees (during the Second World War, which ended in 1945) receive a pension.

108,702 pensioners received up to 600 euros. In April, 37,064 pensioners received pensions above 1,500 euros.
