The Bills Will Be Lower After the Adoption of the Act on Measures to Mitigate the Effects of High Energy Prices

The National Assembly has adopted the Act on Measures to Mitigate the Effects of High Energy Prices. This means that the bill for an average household will be lower by about 35 percent. Citizens will also be exempt from paying the contributions for renewable energy sources, as well as network charges and excise duties.

In the Act, the government also wrote that around 710.000 beneficiaries will receive a one-time solidarity allowance in the amount of 150 euros (the list of beneficiaries includes pensioners and the people who are already receiving child allowance, caretaking allowance, allowance for large families; the disabled, and recipients of financial support).

  • All economic entities will be exempt from paying wire charges for electricity.
  • The rights of natural gas consumers will also be equalised. Apartment owners who heat their apartments with heat from the common natural gas boilers have the same right when purchasing gas as the customers who are buying it for their own use.
  • Farmers will also get some financial aid. Approximately 56,000 agricultural holdings are eligible for funding. 11,000 beekeepers will also receive aid.
