On Monday, the 20th of January, Donald Trump was sworn in as the President of the United States of America in record-cold Washington. He then immediately issued or signed around 200 orders. He announced a revolution of “common sense”.
Donald Trump‘s inauguration was the highlight of the day that began in the early hours of the morning with a mass for the future President and Vice-President that was held at the Episcopal Church. Trump then went to the White House for tea with the outgoing President, Joe Biden. He and Biden then went to the Capitol at around 10.30 a.m. (local time).
JD Vance and his wife arrived first in front of the famous rotunda. Trump and Vance took the oath of office around noon, followed by Trump’s inauguration speech. Vance was sworn in first, and then Trump.
Immediately after the swearing-in, Trump signed a series of executive orders, more than 200, related to illegal migration, energy, the controversial DEI (Diversity, Equality and Inclusion) policy, and a range of other areas. The new President of the USA then headed to Capital One Arena for a rally where he signed further executive orders.
After that, he returned to the White House to begin preparations for the three inaugural dances, including the Commander-in-Chief Dance, the Freedom Dance and the Dancing Under the Stars, reported the Daily Wire.
“The Revolution of Common Sense”
Trump’s swearing-in marks the beginning of a new era in American politics. The Republicans, who have been successfully transformed and led to victory by Donald Trump in recent years, will not only have control of the White House, but also of the US Congress and Senate. At this point, only 33 percent of Americans still have a positive opinion of the Democrats, a historic low in the history of the poll conducted by the (admittedly left-leaning) CNN media outlet. Trump’s rise to power has effectively destroyed the Democratic party.
Prime Minister Robert Golob and President Nataša Pirc Musar were not invited to the inauguration.
Biden shocked with pardons in the last few hours of his term
Just hours before the end of his term, the now-former President issued preventive pardons for General Mark Milley, Dr Anthony Fauci, Liz Cheney and members and staff of the Congressional committee for the 6th of January.
Milley was a harsh critic of Trump, who colluded with China at the end of Trump’s first term. Fauci has been criticised for his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, encouraging the quarantines and denying the now-confirmed theory of a virus leak from the laboratory.
Biden stated that pardons “should not be construed as an admission that any individual person did anything wrong.” Milley has already accepted his pardon.
A summary of Trump’s speech:
In his inaugural address, Trump outlined some ambitious plans for the next four years. He began by announcing the beginning of a golden age and a flourishing for the USA. He promised that the USA will be the envy of all nations and will stop being exploited. For him, every day, America will come first. They will take back their sovereignty and their security. He will put the judiciary in order. It will also be his key objective to make the country proud, prosperous and free.
America, he believes, will soon be bigger and stronger than ever. He predicted a new era of national success for his country. His great ambition is to restore the lost confidence in the government. He also announced a crackdown on illegal migrants and a determined defence of America’s national borders. He also recalled forgotten fellow citizens struggling to cope with the consequences of natural disasters, and he also took issue with the inefficient public healthcare system, which spends a lot of money and produces insufficient results.
They will return wealth, democracy and freedom to the people
He also highlighted the education system that makes children ashamed of themselves and hate their own country, and he intends to start changing all this from the first day of his rule. He wants to give back to the people their lost wealth, democracy, freedom, and stop the decline of America. He also recalled the trials and tribulations he had experienced in the last eight years, more than any President in the 250-year history of the United States, and the lessons he has learned along the way.
He noted that his opponents had tried to take away his freedom and even his life, and recalled the assassination attempt, in which a bullet struck his ear. He believes that his life was saved on that day for a reason. God saved him to make America great again. In his gratitude, he will strive for the well-being and safety of all citizens, of all races, colours and creeds. For American citizens, he is convinced, the 20th of January 2025 is a day of liberation. He recalled that the 20th of January is also Martin Luther King Day, and in his honour, they will work together to make his dream a reality.
Declaration of a state of emergency at the Mexican border
National unity is returning to the USA. Trump went on to announce that he would sign a number of executive orders on Monday, launching a complete revolution of common sense. First, he announced the declaration of a state of emergency at the southern border, the immediate cessation of all illegal entries and the start of the process of returning millions of criminals to their countries of origin. He will also send the army to the border to stop a catastrophic invasion of the USA. He will also declare the cartels to be foreign terrorist organisations and, with law enforcement, brutally stop the criminal invasion from abroad.
He will also tackle inflation and rapidly reduce costs and prices. He recalled that the inflation crisis was caused by massive overconsumption and rising energy prices, and promised that he would declare a state of emergency in the energy sector. The USA will once again be an oil and gas drilling and producing country. At the same time, they intend to export US energy products to places all over the world. They will use oil to regain their wealth and give up their green agenda, above all, to save the domestic car industry. He announced that he would shift taxation from his own citizens to foreign countries (tariff announcement).
Renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, legally recognising only two sexes
He will also end the era of trampling on freedom of speech, end all government censorship and restore the rule of law. Additionally, he will also put an end to policies based on race and gender discrimination. Also, from now on, there will be only two sexes recognised in the USA – male and female. He announced the reinforcement of the US military, but also announced his stance as a peacemaker, recalling that Israeli hostages are already returning home thanks to his efforts. The name of the Gulf of Mexico will be changed to the Gulf of America. He also recalled the 38,000 American lives that were lost in the construction of the Panama Canal and the huge financial investment made there.
The American flag on Mars
He expressed his regret at the fact that such a gift had been given to Panama and that Panama had ultimately broken its promise. The US ships are being charged a lot for sailing through the Panama Canal – it is unfair treatment, and the canal is now being managed by China, he said, even though it was given to Panama, so they are taking it back. The country’s borders will be expanded again, and the American flag will be planted on Mars. He recalled all the technological and conquering achievements of American history. He sees his great comeback as proof that anything is possible. He also recalled the USA’s historic victories, especially in the two world wars, and the victory over fascism and communism.
