He pointed out that wind and solar farms are too intermittent to be a reliable source of energy, calling them ugly and made of Chinese plastic, reports the Daily Wire.

He also criticised China as the green technology leader, while pointing out that the country is still building coal-fired power plants. Trump defended the use of fossil fuels such as coal and natural gas and announced cuts in subsidies for renewable energy sources.

He concluded by stressing that “smart countries” do not use wind and solar energy, adding that America is now going to be a “brilliant country” to make up for the mistakes of the past.
