[Public Opinion Poll] The Government Should Crack Down On Illegal Migration!

With crime and the number of rapes that happen due to illegal migration on the rise, more and more people are becoming aware of the gravity of the situation every day. According to a recent public opinion poll, 85 percent of people believe the government should tighten its immigration policy.

According to the latest public opinion poll conducted by the Parsifal agency for Nova24TV between the 13th and 16th of November, the majority of respondents believe that the government should tighten its immigration policy, establish strict controls at border crossings, and thus help ensure the safety of the population.

Despite the fact that the left-wing media avoid reporting on the increasing number of crimes and rapes in Slovenia, they are less and less successful in doing so. It is difficult to cover up something that seems to be becoming a constant. All the types of violence that we used to see in other countries are now increasingly being seen here, and we even reported on a possible attack in Ljubljana that happened in the last week, as recently as a few days ago. You would have expected the Golob government to have taken it upon itself to tighten up immigration policy, but this is not the case – on the contrary, it seems to have been softened even more by them. However, the people are finally fed up with that.

According to the latest Parsifal public opinion poll, the vast majority (84.9 percent) of respondents believe that the government should tighten its migrant policy, establish strict controls on border crossings, and thus help ensure the security of the population.

Meanwhile, one tenth (11.2 percent) of respondents believe that the government should continue its policy of allowing migrants to apply for protection.

The survey was conducted between the 13th and 16th of November 2023, and it included 749 respondents, of which 49.6 percent were women. The average age of the participants is 55.3 years, and the standard deviation is 16.2 years. The majority of the respondents are from the oldest age group (55.2 percent), a slightly smaller share of participants belongs to the middle age group (33.7 percent), and the smallest number of respondents is from the youngest age group (14 percent). The majority of the respondents have completed high school (37.4 percent), followed by those with completed high education or higher (27.1 percent), 20.8 percent of respondents have finished vocational school, and 14.7 percent have either completed or have not completed primary school. The majority of the respondents currently reside in a small village or hamlet (57.9 percent), followed by those who live in the city (26.2 percent) or a smaller town (15.9 percent). Most of the respondents are from Central Slovenia (25.9 percent), followed by the Podravska (14.9 percent) and Savinjska (12.5 percent) statistical regions.
