“In normal countries, Tina’s “voodoo context” could be quite damaging to Prime Minister Golob. But apparently, nothing can hurt Golob, because he has so far indulged in many misdeeds and serious slip-ups that would have been sanctioned long ago in developed democracies,” said psychoanalyst Vodeb about Gaber’s new lapse. Namely, the Prime Minister’s partner Tina Gaber made a video with a magic voodoo doll with the face of Golob. In the video, she suggests that Janez Janša is utterly desperate, and she has a solution for him.
How do we know that the government of Robert Golob is really in trouble? Well, because of the fact that Golob’s partner, Tina Gaber, is once again resorting to “anti-Janša” provocations. This time, she has indulged in an utterly unfunny joke on the level of the one about handbags made out of people (namely, a while ago, she said in a comment that while she does not wear leather or fur, she would be willing to wear purses made out of people who leave her nasty comments). In a short video clip, Gaber said that the leader of the opposition, Janez Janša, “needs to be helped,” and then later, she called “Janez,” saying that she had an item for his auction, and presented a magical voodoo doll (the type you pierce with a needle) with Golob’s face on it.
Voodoo is basically a religion that originates from West Africa (for example, Benin), and it later spread to the American continent (e.g. the area of present-day Haiti).
Commentary by psychoanalyst and holder of two MScs, Roman Vodeb:
“In my opinion, Tina Gaber has decided to forge her own path – or, dare I say, has gone completely rogue – from Golob. If Prime Minister Golob agreed to the filming and publication of this video, then he, too, has really and truly lost his compass. This video does not look at all normal to me – that is: it looks like the infantile outburst of an offended and hurt teenage girl whose boyfriend, who she is madly in love with and would like to be loyal to, has been made fun of, and now she wants to protect his honour. Such videos are simply not part of the political etiquette to which the Prime Minister’s “companion” or partner should also adhere.
Imagine if “our” Melania had made a similar video about Kamala Harris or (even earlier) about Joe Biden. Trump would probably go crazy with rage – however, Melania could not even think of such a slip-up – because she is polite. Besides, presidential candidates – and even congressmen and senators – in the United States of America already have some internal scrutiny before anything goes public. We don’t have that, or rather, the Freedom Movement party (Gibanje Svoboda) doesn’t have that, and the government does not either. Tina Gaber has apparently gone completely rogue and thinks that by doing such things, she is helping her Robi.
But – politically speaking – this is another slip-up that Golob seems to tolerate. We have never seen so much latent rage – read: sadism – as in this video from Tina Gaber. She seems to have learnt a good part of her rage from her Robi. This is not something she would have come up with on her own, if it weren’t for all the “anti-Janša” pathology she has probably learnt from those around her, and Robert Golob has also been part of it from the start. In my view, the problem in this whole story is actually Golob – because: all this “anti-Janša sentiment” Tina Gaber has merely internalised or picked up from her Robi.
Anyone who believes in the magical power of the “voodoo doll” is not particularly informed about the placebo and nocebo phenomenon. The segment of the so-called black (and white) magic of which voodoo dolls are a part of, is religious. This is something that uninformed people believe in, who are usually not very educated or are just not too bright. And given Tina Gaber’s veganism, I would add that she probably has not truly internalised the right idea of a “good” or reliable father. Namely: veganism and the belief in various bizarre things – for example, black magic and/or voodoo dolls – is, in principle, linked to the figure of the father experienced in childhood.
The type of people who fall for such nonsense as voodoo dolls (and black magic) may also be linked to suggestibility or “hypnotizability” as a psychic specificity. Mature people who have the power of reason do not, in principle, believe in such bizarreness as the voodoo doll. I find the whole context of this voodoo doll bizarrely grotesque – a real intellectual and political farce that can be literally made fun of (not to mention the latent sadism). In normal countries, Tina’s “voodoo context” could be quite damaging to Prime Minister Golob. But apparently, nothing can hurt Golob, because he has so far indulged in many misdeeds and serious slip-ups that would have been sanctioned long ago in developed democracies. In developed democracies, Golob would have been a political corpse long ago (and the Speaker of the National Assembly, Urška Klakočar Zupančič, too).”
