The reporter for Reporters Without Borders RSF is Blaž Zgaga. The report and its credibility reflect this. The smearing of the government and the promotion of Necenzurirano. si & co., while Jože Možina, Igor Pirkovič, Bojan Požar, and Jože Biščak are of course not mentioned,” MEP Romana Tomc responded to the report on media freedom. This is a social and political worker who made a complete fool of himself when he stood as an MEP on the Social Democrats’ list.
During the two-year term of Janez Janša’s government, a media psychosis of a phantom dictatorship was created at home and abroad. Among those who helped to co-create it was the “independent journalist” Blaž Zgaga, who received the opportunity to run on the Social Democrats’ list as a reward, just as the “Milan’s presstitute” from the public broadcaster RTV Slovenia, Mojca Pašek Šetinc, did (and was elected to Parliament on the Svoboda list). And it is this same Zgaga who is now moralising about how Slovenia has fallen so far in the Media Freedom Index.
He could not help lying and distorting reality and making the infamous prediction that “the new government has a lot of work ahead of it”. And when everything seems to be going on as usual in Slovenia, in line with a single ideological and political line, then we will once again hear from such foreign organisations (thanks to Zgaga & Co.) how Slovenia is making remarkable progress in the field of media pluralism. Fortunately, even the speculator George Soros does not influence Twitter and its true plurality, as has been shown recently, which is a great pain for the old regime’s journalistic-political elite.
Let us recall how a financial speculator tried to block Elon Musk from buying Twitter. And this man, whom today Zgaga calls “a two-time prisoner, a defendant and a war profiteer”, is known to have a very good command of Twitter. At the same time, it has remarkable international links with the biggest media giants. It is to be hoped that the oligarch’s government will have a demanding and critical opposition that will consistently point out all the irregularities and illegalities that it can afford to commit. Any demagogic attempts to silence the critical voice will be met with a harsh response.
On Media Freedom Day, it is worth pointing out media abuses: too many activists among journalists
Last but not least, it should be remembered that the shocking stories from abroad about various deals from Bosnia, as well as those related to various Kosovo diplomats, etc., have still not been cleared up… The lies of Zgaga & Co., which have apparently caught on abroad, and above all have resulted in Slovenia’s 54th place (previously 18th), have also been responded to by MEP Romana Tomc: “On the occasion of Media Freedom Day, it is also worth pointing out the media abuses that have taken place. There are too many political activists among journalists and too many servants of politics among the media. Media freedom is for independent media, independent editors and journalists who work according to a professional code.”
