Threats of Gallows and a Coup D’état Ahead of Stevanović’s Third Protest

The prosecution, the judiciary, the mainstream media, the left-wing opposition – what all of them have in common is that they, at least indirectly, support the protests, the violence, and applaud those who deliberately violate the anti-corona measures. None of them care about death threats either – unless they happen to be made against the first-class citizens. However, the recent vote on an amendment to the Protection of Public Order Act was the last straw – by rejecting the amendment, the transitional left opened the door to further spitting, threatening, and perhaps even more serious attacks. These “first-class” citizens believe that they are untouchable, so they can afford to do just about anything they want.

“A coup d’état! We have no other way out other than to block Slovenia and thus protect it. This is the only way to protect ourselves and our children,” somebody wrote on the Facebook page Resni.ca (the Truth) and added the populist hashtags “revolt of the people” and “the power of freedom to the people.” In the video, the organiser of the anti-vaccination protests listed a few more classic nonsensical statements that those who follow people like him love to hear. Namely, he wrote about the unconstitutionality and illegality of the measures, the curtailment of personal freedom, and so on. The former police officer, who was supposedly fired from the police, probably picked up a few sentences from Marko Potrč, as their rhetoric is quite similar.

“The open threat of a coup d’état is only possible because the prosecution and the judiciary – with their tacit support for violence, applauding the violators of covid-19 measures and people who make death threats – have created an atmosphere of chaos where the first-grade citizens believe they are inviolable,” the Prime Minister Janez Janša pointed out. What is interesting is that in the meantime, the authors already changed the content on the Facebook page Resni.ca and added that it is the authorities who are carrying out a coup d’état, saying that they did not make any threats about a coup. And while we’re on the subject – has anyone ever heard of a government carrying out a coup against itself? It seems that the notion of a coup is not entirely clear to some. Given that Zoran Stevanović is using the protests as his own political campaign, he cannot afford any serious extremes. In the hunt for electoral votes, it was obviously safer to correct what was written and make it a bit more appropriate. Does blocking Slovenia not sound like a coup d’état to him? He did not change this part, so we can still see the reality of this post.

A convicted criminal is threatening with a coup d’état
Stevanović is not the only one threatening to carry out a coup. The criminal Zoran Mojsić, who has repeatedly openly threatened Prime Minister Janša, also wrote in his last message that a coup d’état could be expected if Janša does not meet with him face to face. This will supposedly be carried out by the police, the army, and the people, who, according to Mojsić, have had just about enough of the Prime Minister.
One of the latest government decrees stipulates, among other things, that the RVT (recovered, vaccinated, tested) condition must be met by all persons who come into direct contact with other people in the course of their work or are involved in environments or activities where there is an imminent risk of infection and thus a health risk. Two of the occupations that also fall into this group are police officers and soldiers – which some of them do not like.

For politicians, the gallows will supposedly be a “judgment in the name of the people”
Mojsić, too, could easily be a supporter of Stevanović Resni.ca, as we can find several individuals of his calibre in the comments on their Facebook page. One of them recently wrote: “I think that the only solution to the current situation is one cubic meter of wood to sober up our politicians and all these people who consider themselves to be professionals – from the biggest to the smallest thief among them… And the world will become a better place… This will be a judgment in the name of the people.”
He added a photo of the gallows to his comment.
