“We can confirm that on the 3rd of August 2024, in the morning, we received a report of a suspected sexual offence, which, according to the information gathered so far, was committed on private premises in the Bežigrad area of Ljubljana,” the police confirmed the case of the rape of a minor that recently happened in Ljubljana.
Nova24TV has received new and frightening information about the rape of a minor girl by an illegal migrant. Unfortunately, this information turned out to be true, as the tragic event, which took place on Saturday morning, has now been confirmed by the Slovenian police.
The police did not explicitly state the exact location of the crime, as it happened on private premises in the Bežigrad area of Ljubljana. As they pointed out, following the report of the injured minor, police officers established the identity of the suspect through an immediate intensive information gathering and criminal investigation. The suspect is a 34-year-old man, a citizen of Burundi with permanent residence in Slovenia.
The suspect has been arrested and is expected to be brought before an investigating judge on Tuesday due to the reasonable suspicion of committing a sexual offence. No further information was provided in the interest of the investigation and the protection of the victim.
Meanwhile, this weekend alone, more than 600 migrants entered Slovenia illegally.
