Charlie Kirk leaves behind a long legacy of public debates. In his debates with American college students, he used his method of conversation to expose the hypocrisy, fallacies, and lies of the far left and its ideology, which is spreading across college campuses in the USA.
Below, we present his best quotes, which have won over millions of young people around the world. Many changed their views and beliefs after public debates with him, and he touched even more young people online. He himself believed that it is precisely the confrontation of arguments that prevents tensions in a democratic society.
Recordings of his debates with left-wing or liberal students have collectively exceeded billions of views. In the video below, one of the young activists tried to convince Kirk that the state should offer more free services, as Jesus did when he fed and taught people for free.
Charlie Kirk explained to him that homelessness is not a problem related to money, but rather to mental illness or drug addiction, for example.
When a debater told him that she hated the USA, he replied: “America is the only country where even those who hate it refuse to leave.”
Another young woman tried to convince him that some minorities commit crimes because of their difficult financial situation and hunger, and are consequently at risk, which leads to crime. Kirk replied: “We have food stamps for anyone that needs it, we have subsidised housing, we also have welfare cash. We have an obesity problem, not a starvation problem in this country.”
One of the students expressed her dislike of US President Trump because he is supposedly a “racist.” When he asked her on what basis she had come to this conclusion, she was unable to answer. “Do you think he’s racist because that’s what the media told you? You can’t give me an example off the top of your head. I’m not criticising you. Maybe the media is lying to you. Maybe the man who has been called a racist wants to improve the lives of all Americans,” he replied.
A liberal-minded student tried to convince Kirk that the USA is a country of immigrants and that they should therefore open their borders. Kirk replied: “No, we are a country of settlers. Settlers are people who built the country; immigrants come to a country that has already been built.”
At another meeting, a young person said that a woman is a person who identifies as a woman. Kirk pointed out: “But then how do you know she’s actually a woman? […] That’s like saying a giraffe is something that looks like a giraffe. That’s called circular reasoning.”
During a visit to his campus, one of the students accused Charlie Kirk of founding a company that was close to being fascist. When Kirk challenged him to explain why he was a fascist, he was left without arguments.
Another student tried to argue that US President Trump was restricting freedom of speech. Kirk replied: “Donald Trump defended freedom of speech to the extent that he said that colleges that do not protect freedom of speech will not receive federal funding. He has made an extraordinary effort to ensure that all Americans have freedom of speech.”
A young woman wondered why she should keep the embryo if her contraception had failed and she did not want the child. “Wouldn’t you rather take responsibility for the sexual relations you had? Sexual relations or sex is not something you have to go through. It’s not like showering or eating; you can live without sex with a little self-control,” he replied.
This is what he wanted to be remembered by
In one of his media appearances, an interviewer asked him how he would like to be remembered. “I want to be remembered for my courage for my faith. That would be the most important thing. The most important thing is my faith.”
