The Army Of NGOs Against The Government Of Janez Janša Was Financed By Brussels

The list of politically biased non-governmental organisations (NGOs) that feed on the European taxpayers’ purse also includes the trade union of students, pupils, and unemployed youth or the trade union Youth Plus (Sindikat Mladi plus). In the past, it was led by Tea Jarc, a left-wing activist well known to our readers, who attacked the then-Prime Minister Janez Janša and Interior Minister Aleš Hojs at Kredarica on Triglav, during the term of the previous government.

The verbal attack, bordering on physical violence, took place on the 20th of August 2021, when activists from the conglomerate of NGOs called the “Voice of the People” (Glas ljudstva) staged a planned ambush on Janša and Hojs. The recording of the verbal showdown is an exemplary demonstration of the political violence that was repeatedly carried out by left-wing activists during the previous government, of course, under the patronage of their political godfathers.

So, how much money did the trade union Youth Plus receive? According to public records (available at https://www.ngotransparency.eu/) published online by the European Union political group Patriots for Europe (PfE), they received two different transactions. The first one amounted to 17,253.95 euros, and the second one to 5,055.66 euros.

When the attack on Kredarica happened, the union was participating in the European project entitled European youth together: Young Europe – Sustainable democracy builders. At the time, the Youth Plus trade union was led by the aforementioned Tea Jarc. The European Commission apparently had no problem working with political thugs. According to published records, however, they had no financial involvement in the project.

But the trade union Youth Plus has been financed heavily from Slovenian public finances. According to records available in Erar, the online application for the portrayal of public money spending in the Republic of Slovenia, they have received just under 900,000 euros of taxpayers’ money so far.

The biggest contributors so far have been the Ministry of Education and the Slovenian Employment Service.

Jarc has gone to Brussels

As we have already reported, Jarc may have had ambitions that went beyond Slovenia during the term of the previous government. In 2023, she was elected to the leadership of the European Trade Union Confederation. The salaries of the leadership are said to be as high as seven thousand euros. Today, she probably lives in Brussels, if only because it is the headquarters of the Confederation, and some time ago, we also saw that she was looking for a rental flat there. We could say that she is a kind of Brussels returnee. Namely, she was one of the assistants of former Member of the European Parliament, Ivo Vajgl a few years ago.
