Nika Kovač says she fights against the exploitation of workers and against capitalism. But among her (past) donors is also the Obama Foundation, which received a hundred million dollars in 2021 from one of the richest men on Earth – Jeff Bezos. He is a brutal exploiter who makes it virtually impossible for workers to go to the toilet during working hours. So, Nika Kovač is fighting capitalism with the money of a turbo-capitalist.
Far leftists like Nika Kovač, who is closely linked to the far-left Levica party (the Left) – namely, the NGO the 8th of March Institute (Inštitut 8. Marec), which she runs, was co-founded by gay activist and minister of this same party, Simon Maljevac – believe that they are fighting “evil capitalism”. Nika herself has pointed this out in the past, saying: “Whenever we talk about a feminist struggle, we are also fighting against the capitalist social order that promotes this inequality. It often happens that violence is perpetrated by someone who has economic power, symbolic power; by a knowledge holder.”
Workers are not allowed to go to the toilet, they urinate in bottles and rubbish
The most tragicomic thing is that it is a “wicked capitalist” who is indirectly supporting her financially. Member of the European Parliament Branko Grims singled out the multi-billionaire and founder of the multinational Amazon, Jeff Bezos. According to Forbes, Bezos is the third richest person on Earth. He is also not exactly a role model in the area of workers’ rights, for which Nika Kovač is supposedly fighting.
The phantasm of the fight for workers’ rights
“Workers dare not go to the toilet because they have to achieve certain norms set by their superiors. So, they urinate in bottles or in the garbage, saving on the time they would otherwise spend going to the toilet,” we can read online about the conditions in Amazon warehouses around the world. In relation to this, it is worth adding that it is Bezos who is one of the biggest donors to the Obama Foundation. In November 2021, he gave a hundred million dollars to the Foundation.
Indirect supporter of Nika Kovač’s activism
If we add the fact that it is the Obama Foundation that provided Nika Kovač with a scholarship (for the academic year 2021-2022), the circle is complete. Bezos is an indirect supporter of the left-wing activism embodied by Nika Kovač.

Nika Kovač’s “fighting” is about as sincere as her comrade, turbo-capitalist Zoran Janković’s declaration that capitalism will collapse. To put it in biblical language, “Nika Kovač is exorcising evil spirits with Beelzebub, the chief of evil spirits.”
