“MEP Milan Zver has signed an appeal against the killing of two Iranians facing immediate execution. The regime of the Islamic mullahs is convulsing in its death throes and becoming increasingly violent,” the Institute of Dr Jože Pučnik recently wrote.
Member of the European Parliament Milan Zver of the Slovenian Democratic Party (Slovenska demokratska stranka – SDS) signed an appeal against the killing of two Iranians facing imminent execution, which points to the fact that Iran’s theocratic regime is becoming increasingly violent. Sixteen other MEPs have also joined the appeal, as they signed the petition.
Before that, 97 experts had already signed the document, calling on senior representatives of international institutions (Volker Türk (UN), Kaja Kallas (EU top diplomat), Roberta Metsolo (President of the EU Parliament), and Mai Sato (UN)) to rescue the 69-year-old Behrouz Ehsani and the 48-year-old Mehdi Hassani, two Iranian political prisoners facing imminent execution.
Will Tanja Fajon also sign the petition?
We have now asked Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon, who has an unusually warm relationship with the Iranian regime, whether she would join the appeal as well.
