We learned that the current director of the Slovenian Press Agency has supposedly agreed on a new job. According to our source, he is supposed to become the director/super-editor of the centralised editorial office in Vevče with the media tycoon Martin Odlazek. As recently reported by STA, the second term of the current director Veselinović expires on December 31st, 2021, and he has been in the position since 2009.
Technically, this should look like Bojan Veselinovič’s journalist team will provide content for the entire media empire of tycoon Martin Odlazek. Each of his media outlets is supposed to have only one individual local journalist, and everything else will be centralised in Vevče. It is said to be an open trade with the political left.
Odlazek left left-wing editorial policy in exchange for judicial inviolability and state financial support of media empire
In exchange for ideologically orthodox content in all his media, the left is supposed to offer him two things in return – that he will remain free forever and that the state will provide financial support to his print media. According to our information, the well-known “liquidator” Dejan Karba, a former employee of Delo, Dnevnik, and a member of the Social Democrats, is also expected to work in the super-editorial office. We also sent journalistic questions to Director Veselinović, and we are still waiting for answers.
We have already reported several times on the controversial business of STA director Veselinović, including the fact that we received information in the editorial office about Veselinović’s meeting with media tycoons – Bojan Petan and Odlazek and with the owner of Ninamedia Nikola Damjanić. It is said to be an agreement on the collection of grants for the defence of the STA. And such a manoeuvre is supposedly the proposal of lawyer Stojan Zdolšek.
