“I love all of my students but I will never lie to them regardless of the consequences. I’m a teacher but I serve God first and I will not affirm that a biological boy can be a girl, and vice versa, because it’s against my religion,” the physical education teacher said during his hearing.
The school district in Loudon County, Virginia, requires professors to teach gender theory and use their students’ preferred gender pronouns. At a recent board meeting the school’s physical education teacher voiced his strong opposition to these policies, saying he will continue to refuse to teach gender theory or lie to his students that “a biological boy can be a girl and vice versa”.
The teacher was put on administrative leave and summoned to the Virginia district education centre for a hearing. He stressed that he had no intention to “hurt anyone, but there are certain truths that we must face when ready. We condemn school policies [that] would damage children,[and] defile the holy image of God”.
“I love all of my students but I will never lie to them regardless of the consequences. I’m a teacher but I serve God first […] It’s lying to a child, it’s abuse to a child, and it’s sinning against our God,” he said.
He also condemned the policies allowing everyone to participate in sporting events advertised for the opposite sex, and opposed the requirement to call students by their preferred pronouns.
It wasn’t the first excessive step against conservative or religious parents and teachers. Earlier, a group of current and former teachers and others compiled a lengthy list of parents suspected of disagreeing with school board policies and the gender theory, with a stated purpose to “expose these people publicly.”
Members of a private 624-strong Facebook group called “Anti-Racist Parents of Loudoun County” even posted the names of those parents who showed no willingness to support the teaching of gender theory and actively helped the institutions attended by their children.
